In one paragraph
Viking Repair Co. fixes Viking appliances across San Francisco, the Peninsula, San Jose and the South Bay, Oakland and the East Bay, the Tri-Valley and Marin. A visit starts with an on-site diagnosis for a flat $89 service call, which is waived when you approve the repair. Repairs use genuine Viking replacement parts and carry a 365-day warranty on all labor. We are not part of Viking Range, LLC and do not sell appliances — we only repair them.
Why focus on one brand
Viking’s professional-style ranges, built-in refrigerators and outdoor grills share engineering that general appliance shops see only occasionally: high-output sealed burners with spark re-ignition, convection systems in dual-fuel ovens, top-mounted condensers on built-in refrigeration, and stainless outdoor grills that live with coastal fog in Marin and hot inland summers in the Tri-Valley — all in the same metro area.
Specializing in one product family means the common failures and diagnostic steps are well known, and the parts that fail most often are easier to plan for. It also means we can tell you honestly when a repair is not worth it — for example, when a sealed-system failure on an older refrigerator costs close to a replacement.
How we work
- One flat diagnostic fee$89 covers the visit and the diagnosis. If you go ahead with the repair, the $89 is waived.
- Price before workYou get the repair price after diagnosis and decide before any work starts. No surprise line items.
- Genuine Viking partsWe install OEM Viking replacement parts. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you the lead time up front.
- 365-day labor warrantyIf the same repair fails within a year due to our workmanship, we come back and fix it at no labor charge.
- Respect for the kitchenPro ranges and built-ins sit in finished cabinetry. We protect floors and panels before anything is pulled out.
- Straight adviceIf an appliance is not worth repairing, we say so and explain why — including what a replacement would involve.
What “independent” means here
Viking Range, LLC — founded in Greenwood, Mississippi in 1984, acquired by The Middleby Corporation in a deal announced at the end of 2012 and, since February 2026, part of Composition Brands — runs its own network of authorized service agencies for warranty work. We are not one of them, and we never present ourselves as factory-authorized. Out-of-warranty owners are free to choose who repairs their appliance, and that is the work we do. If your Viking is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, call Viking first — warranty repairs are generally handled through their authorized network. Our guide on authorized service versus independent repair explains the difference in plain terms.
